 3 Day a Week Training
« Thread Started on Sept 22, 2006, 11:44pm »

Hi Everyone,

I am going to try out a lower volume training approach in attempts to add size and strength for the next 3 months. I am looking at a split something like this:

Day 1 Back, Traps, Bis
Day 2 Off
Day 3 Chest, Delts, Triceps
Day 4 Off
Day 5 Quads, Hams, Calves
Day 6 Off
Day 7 Off
repeat

I am also considerig less sets as well. Looking at 3-4 exercises of 2 sets with rep range of 6-10 for large muscles and 1-2 exercises of 2 sets with a rep range of 6-10 for small muscles such as bis and tris. Concentrating on the basics such as deadlifts, barbell rows, presses, curls, leg press, etc... Basically doing a HIT style of training with a little more volume. I think this will really shock me into some growth. Workouts will be short, intense, and only 3 times a week. Talk about recovery time.

Curious on your thoughts,

Shaun

That looks very solid and basically what I have started doing, tried doing DC training for a while and just cannot recover from it.
